PostSubject: Mean girls   Sun Jul 31, 2016 3:26 pm

Found this on another board.  Will just copy and paste here.  It's a long read but some good points made.  What's really ridiculous is the part where they decide that talking about shaving someone's eyebrows is worse than wanting them to die

Quote :
Here is the Link https://www.reddit.com/r/BigBrother/comments/4v7c4f/the_bullying_of_bridgette_now_with_dates/
I didn't write any of this, just thought people would find it interesting. I did add spaces to make it easier to read.

Since we still haven't gotten a segment on the show about this, I decided to make a masterpost of all the ways Bridgette has been mocked, ignored, bullied, belittled, harassed, and generally treated badly by others in the house, especially the "mean girls" group.

Please understand that I'm not saying every single thing listed here is a big, earth-shattering event; some of it's perfectly normal trash talk in the BB house. I just wanted to paint a clear picture of how bad and how frequent it's gotten, and I also wanted to prove that, no, it isn't an isolated incident or a single person. Pretty much the whole house has ganged up on Bridgette, and they've been doing it for weeks, and they're very proud of themselves because of it.
Credit for clips and timestamps goes to the live feed crew, including /u/Dardove, /u/bspoots, /u/codeverity, and /u/Xenshanni. Thanks for the receipts, guys.

The Eyebrow Drama

As far as I can tell, the whole thing started when Bridgette made a joke about shaving off Tiffany's eyebrow before resuscitating her. This information spread through the girls, except it was reported that Bridgette wanted to shave off Michelle's eyebrows, possibly because Michelle passed out during the first Roadkill comp and thought the resuscitation thing applied to her. At any rate, Michelle has hated Bridgette ever since, and she's constantly complaining about the eyebrow comment - how it went too far, how it was an unacceptable joke for Bridgette to make as a nurse, etc. She's also jealous about Frank cozying up to Bridgette and not her. Frank tried many times to make peace between his teammates but failed.
6/27 12:18 am - The original comment, plus a transcript since everyone was talking at once.
6/27 12:40 am - Zakiyah tells Day about it, falsely attributing it to Bridgette.
6/27 1:01 am - Michelle hopes Bridgette loses her job. Then she tells the live feeders to make sure Bridgette "never works in a nursing place again."
7/7 9:01 pm - Frank tells Michelle that Bridgette has noticed the way she's being ignored. Michelle says "Well, I have a reason. Maybe if she apologizes about wanting to shave my eyebrows..."
7/17 7:33 pm Frank asks Michelle to be nicer to Bridgette. Michelle says no.
7/13 12:05 pm - Michelle tells Natalie about the eyebrow comment, but she's "over it."
7/15 10:34 pm - Michelle admits to Frank she's jealous that he took Bridgette under his wing and not her.
7/27 6:00 pm - Michelle talks about Frank trying to get her to let go of the eyebrow thing. He brought up the fact that Paul said he wished Michelle would die. Day, Zakiyah, and Michelle discuss it and decide that shaved eyebrows are a worse thing to wish on someone.

Baking Problems

Bridgette loves to bake; it's one of her major hobbies in the house. The girls use it as a reason to complain about her, and they frequently throw away her cookies and then brag to each other about it.
7/13 8:10 pm - Zakiyah says she put Bridgette's cookies in the garbage. Michelle asks if Bridgette said anything about it, but Zakiyah and Day scoff. "She isn't going to."
7/16 12:40 pm - Zakiyah calls Bridgette a dumb bitch and a stupid ho. Then she says "I'm not a mean girl." Michelle gets up, grabs Bridgette's cookies, and throws them away. Zakiyah laughs.
7/18 2:22 am - Zakiyah talks to Nicole, Corey, and Michelle about throwing away more cookies. She took two and threw away ten. Nicole suggests the show will have a montage of all the times she's trashed Bridgette's cookies; Zakiyah wonders if America will hate it, but Michelle thinks we'll find it funny. Zakiyah also calls Bridgette a "psycho ass bitch" and hopes she takes out her other ankle.
7/18 11:53 pm - Group complaining about Bridgette's baking as they watch her on the HOH cam. Zakiyah says there were sugar cookies in the microwave that she threw out.
7/27 - Paulie tries to give a cookie to Paul, but Zakiyah takes it from his hand and tosses it in the trash.

The Birthday Fiasco

July 11 was Zakiyah's birthday. She had two celebrations over two nights, not including the Outback Steakhouse dinner that Bridgette invited her to specifically because it was her birthday. Then she started talking about throwing yet another party for her stuffed giraffe, Rafe.
July 15 was Bridgette's birthday. She told everyone she didn't want a fuss, so when cake mix appeared in the storage room for her, she joked that maybe production sent it for the giraffe. Zakiyah heard about this and decided to really throw a party for Rafe - complete with Bridgette's cake mix - just to make Bridgette feel bad. When Bridgette later confronted the girls, they spun the story that production gave them the cake mix for the giraffe and not her.
7/17 - Zakiyah brags to Day about her bright idea. "It's gonna be the best birthday that she didn't get."
7/18 12:33 am - Zakiyah tells Michelle about the cake mix, including how she shrugged when Frank said it was meant for

Bridgette's birthday:

Zakiyah: He was like, well, no one made Bridgette a cake.
Michelle: (fake voice) Oops!
Zakiyah: I said, well, someone made me a cake!
7/18 12:53am - Zakiyah tells the giraffe story again, this time with added insult for Bridgette: "And the little tramp said..." She also confirms that it's Bridgette's cake mix but she's going to use it anyway. Paulie says Tiffany called them mean girls, and Zakiyah replies, "I'll be that for you."
7/18 - Bridgette tells Frank that no one cares about her birthday.
7/25 6:44 am - Bridgette describing the day of the party, how Michelle made sure she knew it wasn't a party for her, how "Rafe" was spelled in huge letters across the cake, etc.
7/28 - CBS includes Rafe's birthday party in their live feed highlights narrated by Jeff Schroeder. Because it was a super fun event.

Isolation

The girls shun Bridgette when she tries to socialize with/around them. They leave rooms when she walks in. They get angry with the guys when they entertain her. There are really too many examples of this to list - not to mention they're all small, passive-aggressive moments that are hard to compile - but here's a sample of what the houseguests are both seeing and participating in:
7/16 1:17 pm - Michelle mocks Bridgette for noticing when people leave the room because she enters. Zakiyah admits she does, but she "waits five minutes" so it "isn't obvious."
7/18 2:30 am - Nicole says that when Bridgette comes in a room and "lingers," she and Michelle will "literally stop talking, look at each other, and walk away."
7/22 9:10 pm - Paulie offered to wrap Bridgette's ankle before the endurance comp. The girls "came at him" for this. Bridgette says Corey told her the girls "give him *beep* if he's seen talking with her.
7/23 5:17 pm - Natalie says people stare at her when she hangs out with Bridgette.

Accusations

The house thinks Bridgette is "fake," "sly," and "sneaky." They think she's lying about her job, her boyfriend, her personality, her voice. They think she's a dumb doormat who employes zero strategy while also being a shrewd superfan who employs too much strategy. They think she's lying about having a boyfriend but also secretly dating Frank.
7/11 11:55 am - Day doesn't believe that Bridgette took her and Zakiyah to the Outback Steakhouse dinner just to be nice. Michelle says she's hated Bridgette from day one when they stood on stage together and Bridgette annoyed her with her lipstick, clothes, and eyes.
7/13 8:08 pm - Group talk about Bridgette being cocky, controlling, fake, dishonest, and jealous of Paul's baking skills. Day says she wants to kick her in her ankle. She also asks if it's true that Bridgette was running on her ankle the other day (aka faking her injury).
7/16 1:16 pm - Zakiyah says Bridgette is probably in med school. Michelle wonders if she knew how to strategically roll her ankle.
7/17 4:21 pm - Natalie says Bridgette didn't show any emotion when Bronte was voted out and that you shouldn't pretend to be friends with people. Michelle and Zakiyah say Bridgette is two-faced, not interested in friends, only up Frank's ass, etc, and then they dish about no one talking to her on her birthday.
7/18 1:48 pm - James and Bridgette talk about the brownies she's made. Day shouts across the yard that she's like Jun Song from season four, saying that Jun "baked her way to the end" and won. Bridgette says she'll have to go back and watch season four. Michelle asks how Bridgette knew it was season four, and Bridgette honestly replies that Day just said it. Later, Michelle and Day scoff that Day said no such thing and Bridgette is obviously a superfan.
7/19 - Zakiyah and Nicole bad-mouth Bridgette to the live feeders. "Y'all, don't be fooled. Bridgette aint no innocent female. She's a snake. She kinda resembles one."

Miscellaneous Mean Stuff

7/18 11:40 Zakiyah cleaned the whole kitchen except for Bridgette's pots and pans. (This clip also includes talk of hiding Tiffany's stuffed gorilla, which Day did just to laugh at her as she searched the house for hours.)
7/13 3:59 pm - Day, Zakiyah, and Nicole complain about Bridgette and say they won't be making her a birthday cake. The *beep* talk stops when Frank enters the room.
7/17 9:44 pm - Group hate session about Frank and Bridgette.
Michelle: Frank said to me, "Bridgette and I felt so alone on Thursday."
Zakiyah: I don't care.
Michelle: He told me to be nicer to Bridgette.
Day: Why?
7/18 12:46 pm Zakiyah: I'm gonna go up there and hurt her other ankle. Knock it out of place.
7/18 2:28 am - Michelle wants to know who told Frank she'd been calling her "Bridgette Crocker," because he confronted her and said it was malicious. Michelle thinks it's funny.
7/21 10:33 am - Talking to the live feeders, Michelle says, "I feel good. I ate carbs yesterday, though. Those damn peanut butter cookies. Maybe I'll throw a few in the trash." She goes on to say that she hopes no one thinks Bridgette is America's sweetheart, because she'll vomit in her mouth and self-evict if that happens.
7/22 10:15 - Paulie says people badmouth Bridgette for "the way she walks, the way she talks." He doesn't mention that he and Corey used to do the same thing - they said they hated her giggles and the way she skipped around the house.
7/23 11:04 am - Bridgette and Frank talk to Natalie about the mean girls. According to Tiffany, they wanted to nominate Bridgette on her birthday and say "happy freaking birthday, Bridgette." (I don't have any original timestamps for this, but the girls confirm it in the clip below.)

7/23 5:31 am - Paulie thinks that Frank and Bridgette coming to him about the mean girls was an orchestrated act because Bridgette cried and Frank comforted her "like it was planned." Zakiyah wants to know when she's ever been a mean girl "to [Bridgette's] face." She and Michelle gripe that if Bridgette wanted a cake for her birthday, Frank should've baked her one. They also comment on Bridgette learning the plan to vote her out on her birthday. "Who told her? Damn, what else does she know?"
7/23 6:01 pm - Paul mocks Bridgette for crying about being on the block and calls her a sore loser. Paulie says she isn't a humble winner. Victor thinks she shouldn't care about being nominated. They make fun of Frank for being supportive of her, concluding that Fridgette obviously "want to bone."
7/24 4:35 pm - Zakiyah wakes up Paulie by straddling him and bitching about Bridgette. They mock Bridgette's voice. Zakiyah wants to call her out.
7/25 10:05 pm Paul jokes about punching Bridgette in the face if Frank survives eviction night.
7/26 1:24 am - James, Natalie, Michelle, and Nicole think Frank and Bridgette are secretly dating. They say Frank isn't giving shoutouts to his girlfriend anymore, and they ~connect the dots~ between Frank's gf moving in with him a month ago while Bridgette recently moved in with her boyfriend too. Plus, Natalie once walked by them in bed and their feet were touching.
7/26 2:32 pm - Bridgette has been tending a basil plant (from the have-not week "beans, basil, and baguettes") that she named Mr. Jenkins. Natalie asks if she can pilfer some leaves from him but Bridgette asks her not to, because it could kill him. Natalie agrees initially but then a group of James, Nicole, Michelle, and Day work together to distract Bridgette while they rip leaves off him for Natalie's cooking. Later, Frank tells Bridgette what happened and says they're all *beep*

Self-Justification

Bridgette has tried multiple times to talk to the girls about their behavior and how it makes her feel, but it usually ends with her getting emotional and the others mocking her for it.
7/23 2:22 pm - Michelle tells Day that Bridgette was "crying in front of the boys" and "trying to convince them we're mean girls." Day calls her a little crybaby. Michelle says she's trying to play "the pity card."
7/23 - Natalie has several conversations with Bridgette (11:23 am, 12:24 pm) where she asks if Bridgette ever said/did anything to make the girls mad at her. She pressures Bridgette to figure out what she did.
7/24 - Zakiyah and Michelle think Bridgette is being fake and playing "the innocent card."
7/24 5:03 am - Bridgette talks to Zakiyah about what's going on and what she's experienced. Zakiyah says things like "I'm sorry you feel that way, Bridgette" and "I didn't leave the room every time." She defends herself by saying that Bridgette isolated herself, that she (Zakiyah) wanted to mind her own business, etc. Bridgette is forgiving and gives her a handshake. Bridgette later tells Frank that the conversation went well. Zakiyah later tells Paulie that she wants to hit Bridgette.
7/25 5:32 am - Natalie tells James to erase Bridgette from his head because no one cares and she's next in line. She says she likes Bridgette as a person, but "The whole house hating you doesn't happen naturally. You have to do things." She says Bridgette's "true colors" came out at the HOH comp.
7/25 - During the secret room excitement, Zakiyah says it's rigged if Frank and Bridgette stay. "[Production] just wants to keep the villains in the house."
7/25 10:00 am - Bridgette confronts Michelle about their feud. Part of this made the show, but only the stuff about Michelle's jealousy over Frank; the full, unedited argument includes the eyebrow comment, a debate about the highs and lows of Bridgette's voice, and whether or not Michelle's behavior is bullying. Michelle utters the words "I've never, ever insulted you on a personal basis."
7/25 1:16 pm - Michelle hopes Bridgette isn't calling her a bully in the DR. She says Bridgette is making her feel like crap. Paul rants that Michelle did nothing wrong.

Gaslighting

Once Frank and Bridgette were on the block together, the house tried a new strategy against Bridgette - gaslighting. They've been convincing her that she hasn't been ignored, that events didn't transpire the way she thought, that Frank was lying to her instead of being her friend. The worst thing about this is that Bridgette actually started to question her relationship with Frank right before he left, so their last few days together were marred by this *beep*
7/25 - Convo with Day
Day and Bridgette try to hash out their differences. It's a low-key conversation, no drama, but I'm including it as evidence of how the houseguests are lying to Bridgette and making her doubt herself when it comes to the way they've treated her. Here are a few key moments:
6:05 am - Bridgette chokes up as she describes how hard it's been.
6:26 am - Bridgette starts to backtrack with her anger towards Zakiyah. "I kinda yelled at her, I apologized later, I was just pissed I lost the veto..."
6:32 am - Bridgette says the plan to vote her out on her birthday made her feel bullied. Day talks about how much she hates the word "bully" and how she's a mentor of young girls and she actually comes to the rescue of girls who get bullied.
6:42 am - Day convinces Bridgette that production gave them the cake mix for the stuffed giraffe after they went into the DR and requested it. (This is a lie; the truth is in the "birthday" section above.)

7/27 - Convo With Paul
This conversation was part of an elaborate plan to get information out of Bridgette. Paulie takes Frank to the safari room to distract him while Paul takes Bridgette out to the hammock and tells her that Frank isn't on her side. He's very aggressive about it - loud, confrontational, telling Bridgette she's been making terrible decisions, telling her the house dislikes her, making Bridgette hang her head and go silent for long periods of time. The whole thing lasts for over an hour.
3:14 am - Paul tells Bridgette that Frank has been campaigning against her and telling people she's okay with going home. This is false, but Bridgette is shocked.
3:26 am - Bridgette says she hasn't done anything. Paul says he used to like her, but then she started hanging out with Frank and became narcissistic, egotistical, snooty. He tells her people don't like her, the way she presents herself, the way she talks, the things she does. Bridgette will thank him for this later.
3:40 am - Paul says Frank isn't her friend. He's only known her 40 days. He makes fun of her. He says Frank is the real bully for the jokes he makes.
3:46 am - Bridgette says she just wanted to make Frank feel better. Paul says "You're getting played, bub." Then he tells her to relax, it's okay, he's just trying to help her, that's why he's here.
3:48 am - Paul tells Bridgette to start being more genuine with people. Bridgette says "I'm just being myself" and Paul replies "People aren't buying it." He says she changed after hanging out with Frank, and he doesn't like the new her, the one who goes on "power trips." Bridgette says she didn't mean to hurt anyone.

7/27 - Convo with Frank

5:45 am - Bridgette and Frank talk about what everyone is saying and whether it's true. It's a long exchange filled with hurt and frustration, because Frank doesn't understand why Bridgette doesn't believe him but Bridgette has had these people in her ear for days.
5:54 am -
Bridgette: Zakiyah said she wasn't making faces at me.
Frank: She said that to me too.
Bridgette: Then why did you tell me she was?
Frank: I'm telling you what I saw! She's full of *beep*
6:01 am - Bridgette feels like a dumbass because she's said good things about Frank in her DRs. Frank says, "I'm saying the same things! That's all I'm talking about. Every damn DR, every damn question, it's 'me and Bridgette,' 'Bridgette and I,' 'Bridgette and myself' - "

7/27 - The Celebration

While Frank and Bridgette are arguing, Day, Paulie, Paul, and Zakiyah are in one of the bedrooms laughing and congratulating themselves on a job well done. Zakiyah makes fun of Bridgette's shock ("you knew? you knew?") with a high-pitched voice. Paul brags, "I ruined her. Mind blown."
Meanwhile, here's Bridgette:

More things have happened in the days since then - more mocking of Bridgette's tears, etc - but I'm honestly getting tired of compiling this misery. So here you go. Whether you want to call it bullying, harassment, cattiness, whatever, the house is full of *beep* who have ganged up on Bridgette, and the show hasn't bothered to air any of it.

Don't kid yourself, America voting for the care package is nothing more than a façade for production to give it to who they want to. See that thread for more details, they already have a smokescreen to how a player doing well in polls may not get it.

PostSubject: Re: Mean girls   Mon Aug 01, 2016 10:31 pm

There is no doubt that Bridge has had a hard road with some of the girls in the house (mainly Zak and Michelle), but just being devil's advocate here, Bridge is not completely sweet and innocent either. The difference is that most or her trash talking happened the first week (actually 2 weeks in the house) when she was hanging out with Victor, Jozea and Paul. She DID make fun of Michelle's body right along with the others, especially after they got the pixel costumes. She also DID say that comment about the eyebrows. I watched that conversation. She was sitting in the lounge chairs outside laying against Jozea with Victor, Paul and Bronte there. They were all laughing about the fact that Michelle had passed out a day or two before. One of the guys said, "I hope she passes out again too" and Bridge said "I do too..........if she does I am going to shave her eyebrows off." Everyone laughed, but someone mentioned that was probably not a cool thing to say being a nurse and she said "Oh, I would resuscitate her after I was done!"

As far as isolation, she also played a part in that. She didn't care to socialize with any of those girls and was spending her time with Bronte and Natalie........nothing wrong with that. But when she would talk with Frank about teams, she would complain that Michelle treated her badly and at that point Michelle had not done anything to her (other than shit talking just as Bridge was doing behind her back). So, Frank then kept pushing Michelle to be nice to Bridge and that made Michelle even more jealous of Bridge's relationship with Frank.

Then Bridge won HOH and she refused to talk to anyone about noms or anything. She told Frank to stay in the HOH room with her to "protect" her from everyone asking questions and trying to make deals with her. Tiff did manage to get a quick talk with her, but that was it for the night and he slept up there with her. Keep in mind that up to that point, she would not allow any guy in the house to sleep in a bed with her because she has a boyfriend at home. She wouldn't even allow Jozea to sleep with her and he is gay. She was adamant about it and there were a few days where she had a bed to herself and there were some beds with 3 people in them. So suddenly having Frank sleep with her further pushed herself into isolation.

After her HOH, she spent just about every waking minute with Frank. Sure she would take time away to bake and did try an extend an olive branch to those other girls at times, but by then they just weren't interested.

Of note, Michelle has had conversations with a few people this week admitting that most of her anger and angst toward Bridge was a product of her jealousy of Frank spending so much time with her. SHE wanted to be his number 1 in the game and she admits it colored her against Bridge. And they have been at least cordial to each other since then. Michelle didn't need to admit that, but she did, so I do give her credit for it.

Now I am not for one minute condoning the shit they have been throwing at her. The birthday party for the giraffe was completely ridiculous. Nicole did talk to her after that and told her that she was sorry she had anything to do with it at all. She said that nobody made a cake or a big deal for her (Nicole's) birthday either, but she was okay with it. The boys did do a provocative dance for her on her birthday and that was enough for her she said. Day also told her she was sorry for that, but that was when Day was trying to pull Bridge in to use once Frank left.

Like I said, those girls have gone way over the top with some things, but Bridge is not innocent either. I wonder just how much shit talking and isolating behavior she would have put on others if Jozea had remained in the house and that side would have gained power moving forward in the game? I am just trying to show there are 2 sides to the story even though I believe Michelle and Zak have been way worse.

And then there are the boys and the disgusting, nasty things they have been saying about all the girls in the house. Paul took great joy is completely blowing Bridge up with the things he said about Frank campaigning against her, but I don't see a posting of all the horrible things he has said and done and the complete delight he takes in crushing someone, and Paulie is beginning to be just like him. And let's not forget that Frank did much the same thing. Tiff was down for the count, but he couldn't resist making things more uncomfortable for her.

Okay, I am off my soapbox now!

PostSubject: Re: Mean girls   Mon Aug 01, 2016 11:38 pm

I see what you are saying here chap and agree to a point.  That's why I made sure to point out that this was on a different board and I was simply reposting it.  Its obvious it was written by a Bridgette fan but a lot of it holds water.  Of course there are two sides to all of it, but cmon, the eyebrow Thing?  It's worse to say you want to shave someone's eyebrows than it is to wish they were dead?  I'm not going to buy that Bridgette is a nurse and should know better.  There are plenty of nurses that have patients they don't like and ventavout things they want to do but don't Acton them.  Michelle was out in full force camera talking telling fans to get Bridgette fired for saying it.  It's ridiculous when these fans go after people's jobs because they don't like them.

Now on ethics g that really stood out here is your point about Michelle admitting to others about her disliking Bridgette due to jealousy and giving her credit for admitting it.  Let me ask you this, in season 15, if Aaryn had admitted to others that she doesn't like Candice because she is black, would you give her credit for admitting It? Of course not, just admitting it and doing nothing means nothing.  Now I'm not saying her and Bridgette need to be besties or anything, but having a talk with her could go a long way.  Something like this," look Bridgette, I let jealousy get the best of me, I'm not happy about it, but I do want to apologize."  You can just leave it at that.  If Bridgette pushes and takes that as a token of friendship, you may need to get a but more brash and tell her flat out that you don't want to be friends with her and they are different people.  Michelle did somewhat do this at one point, so there's that, but the apology is still missing.  It doesn't even have to be a heartfelt apology, but it can at least make things more civil.

Now, the boys and their things, that is a whole different can of worms and is disgusting as well.

I never said that the eyebrow thing was worse than somebody wishing death on someone, I think that is a stupid comment to make too. I was just pointing out what I saw on the feeds when I watched that conversation. I also did not say that Bridge should lose her job or anything like that, I only said that someone in the group she was with said being a nurse she probably shouldn't be saying that and what her response was. This was the point, that she is not this little innocent girl she is trying to portray right now. She had no problem with Frank's shit talking about the mean girls until it became a topic in the DR and Michelle was upset about being portrayed as the mean girl in the equation, THEN Bridge started saying things like "don't say that Frank" when he would make comments like (I hope they eat shit and die).

You make a good point with the comparison to Aaryn and Candace, I guess I had not thought about it that way. But, you said that it would go a long way if she had that conversation with Bridge. Well, guess what, she did! She went to her and told her that very thing and Bridge accepted it from her. Then tonight on BBAD, Bridge was in the hot tub telling Victor about the conversation and was basically saying why couldn't she have just been her friend and they could have hung out with Frank together. So to Michelle's face she accepted it, but then behind her back she felt differently.
