PostSubject: Re: Week 14 Schedule   Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:53 am

Denver at Oakland

Denver has already clinched their division. Oakland is coming off a loss to the Cleveland Browns to earn the title of the worst team to beat the Steelers (sorry Capri). This game right here is a perfect example as to why games should not be played on Thursday night. Pick: Broncos

St. Louis at Buffalo

Two middle of the road teams. St Louis is coming off a huge win against the Niners. It took 10 quarters of football to determine who the better team is there. Buffalo seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde team. I'm gonna go with Jeff Fisher and the Rams. Pick: Rams

Dallas at Cincinnati

Once a gain, the Cowboys look to be one of the NFL's most dysfunctional teams and are coming off a huge Sunday night win over the Eagles. Cincinnati has been slowly playing under the radar and is a very underestimated team. Pick: Bengals

Kansas City at Cleveland

Chiefs head coach, Romeo Crennel makes his return to the team he once coached with Brady Quinn at the helm. This is the same Brady Quinn who Crennel awarded the starting job to during his tenure in Cleveland as the result of a coin flip. Cleveland has not on 3 games in a row since 2009 when they finished out the season by winning their last 4. Two struggling teams looking to get better for the future. Pick: Browns

Tennessee at Indianapolis

A year removed from the playoffs, Indy is right back in the thick of things. Riding on the success of 1st overall draft pick Andrew Luck, the Colts seem to be a lot closer to the team they were before losing Peyton Manning Pick: Colts

Chicago at Minnesota

Chicago really is a boring team to watch, but they are in the middle of a division title battle with the Green Bay Packers. Minnesota is starting to get back to form with the re-emergence of RB Adrian Peterson. But it's not enough to stop the Bears. Pick: Bears

Philadelphia at Tampa Bay

Philly is in complete and total disarray. Looks like karma has finally caught up with embattled QB Michael Vick who is likely out for the season and has been replaced by rookie Nick Foles. Tampa Play is sitting at .500 and this is really a meaningless game at this point in the season other than jockeying for draft position. Pick: Bucs

Baltimore at Washington

What can I say? The Ravens just lost a game to Charlie Batch. While the Steelers may still be a competitive team, they are nowhere near where they used to be and this was a huge setback for the Ravens. Washington on the other hand is playing well behind 1st round draft pick (2nd overall) Robert Griffin III. Baltimore really needs to step up their game and this could be the one where they do it. Look for that defense to throw everything they have at the rookie phenom Pick: Ratbirds

Atlanta at Carolina

Hotlanta just wrapped up the division title with basically no competition within the division. The only thing they have left is the coveted home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Carolina, while improving just will not be able to keep up. Pick: Falcons

NY Jets at Jacksonville

While I stated earlier that the Cowboys are one of the NFL's most dysfunctional teams. The Jets ARE the NFL's most dysfunctional teams. They were able to pull off the win last week against the Cardinals, but in that game Mark Sanchez was benched while backup QB, Tim Tebow was inactive. It almost seems as if Jets head coach, Rex Ryan is more interested in causing controversy and getting the teams name in the paper than he is with winning football games. At this time it has not been determined who will start at QB for the Jets, but I don't think it really matters
Editted that it has now been said that Sanchez will start but will be on a short leash. This is an even worse decison as Sanchez will be looking over his shoulder the entire time he is playing Pick: Jags

San Diego at Pittsburgh

It looks as if Ben Worthlessburger may be back for the Steelers this week. They got themselves back into the playoff picture with a huge win against the Ravens last week. The Chargers once again are one of the leagues biggest underachievers. How Norv Turner keeps getting NFL head coaching jobs is beyond anyone’s guess. Pick: Steelers

Miami at San Francisco

San Francisco is coming of a very tough loss to the Rams. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh has awarded the starting QB position to Colin Kaepernick after Alex Smith went down with an injury. It's not very often that a player loses a starting job due to injury and Smith has been very vocal about his displeasure. It's surprising that Harbaugh, a former QB himself, would treat Smith this way after leading them to the NFC Championship game just a year ago, but it's all about winning games. Pick: Niners

Arizona at Seattle

Seattle is in the thick of the wildcard playoff hunt while the Cards are on the QB carousel. Not really much to say about this game. Pick: Seahawks

New Orleans at NY Giants

Wow, the Giants are losing some tough games this year. Coming off a very difficult Monday night loss the Redskins they are now hosting the underrated New Orleans Saints who seem to be rebounding from the effects of bounty gate. The Giants are losing the types of games that they won last year, which is what led them to the Super Bowl. Can they return to form? Pick: Giants

Detroit at Green Bay
This has all the makings of a classic NFC North battle. But after a year of returning to competitive football, the Lions seem to be regressing. The Packers also are not the team that they once were. For the Packers, it time for a discount double check Pick: Packers

Houston at New England

This is the type of game that MNF used to always be about. Two top notch teams battling it out. The Texas have clinched a playoff berth, the Pats have clinched their division. Houston has shown some vulnerability as of late while the Pats seem to be firing on all cylinders. New England needs this game to stay within reach of home field advantage throughout the playoffs Pick: Pats

This makes no sense to me. Baltimore fired their offense coordinator Can Cemron today and QB coach Jim Caldwell will take over for the rest of the season.

How is it the Offensive Coordinators fault that the Ravens D let Kirk Cousins march down the field and tied up the game.

The Baltimore Sun, crediting unnamed sources, cited the Ravens' inconsistency on offense and quarterback Joe Flacco's development, of which the team hasn't seen significant progress.

Now I think Ozzie Newsome is doing a fabulous job as team president, but this one has me scratching my head!
