| ITA that the bad singers MADE the auditions! Also agree that the sob stories should go. However, I think the difference is that these judges really try to help the contestants. I loved Simon's comments, but sometimes felt he was too harsh. These are kids, and constructive criticism is much better than the cutting remarks. Perhaps one way to not have another Scotty win is to let the judges decide, not the fans. Sorry, but Pia and James Durbin should have been the two finalists IMO. At this point, tonight is the third Hollywood episode, and I agree with most of the judges' decisions. The group that sang "Hold On" were FANTASTIC! And I noticed that all of the solo contestants that sang "Georgia on My Mind" made it through - because they were GOOD! |

| Only a few that made it to the challenge rounds are good. this season is going to suck.. Oh and a lot of the sicknesses and faints looked staged. |

| And OF COURSE they did not think Lauren Grey was good enough.  Are you kidding me? Once again we have a bunch of country singers-----aaaargh-----I can't take it! Not another repeat of last year where Haley and Lauren got ripped off by Scotty! At least they had the good sense to get rid of that pain in the ass with the cowboy hat and the deep voice. Now let's see what tomorrow brings. |

I agree about Lauren Grey. It was nice having someone with a different voice. Did she have the best most powerful voice? No, but she has a very good voice and I thought she did a great job overall. I was looking forward to hearing her sing in the top 24 and on. I actually think if anyone got ripped off, it was James. And, this is coming from a fan who owns his album. FYI, it's awesome! lol Don't get me wrong, I did like Haley too. I'm a fan of all types of music, so I actually thought it was nice last year having two country singers who were front runners and eventually made the final 2. That said, I do want to see some diversity this year and, even though there are several country singers through, I do think we will still have a good variety of talent/voices. I'm hoping Shelby makes it through, and she's got more of a country voice too. Maybe I'm a little biased because she's from MN (where I've lived all my life) and I really want to see someone from Minny finally get somewhere on this show. And, she's got a great voice. She did an awesome job with 'Temporary Home' in her first audition, and even though we didn't see her much in the Hollywood rounds, it seemed like she did well and stayed consistent. I can't wait to see what happens tonight! |

| WHEW! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that misses Simon! OMG, I didn't think I'd find others who noticed the mistake they made by letting Lauren go! I was bitching non-stop after the shocker  As for Richie (the "I'm the best in town", who can't keep his hands from hitting/slapping people and bossing them around) - can't stand him! I like Country Music (some of it) - I think many country music singers have an awesome tone to their voice and the twang is sexy in some voices (sorry, I just love ALL American accents and find them sexy!) ... but this kid needs to be brought down a peg or two - he's wayyyyyyy tooooo into himself. I think J-Lo is a beautiful woman - BUT - she doesn't bring anything to the table, besides giving us a "fashion show" - there's plenty of fashion shows on TV, where she can promote herself (and her outfits, hair-styles, make-up). She's BORING. Steve's OK - when he makes outlandish remarks - other than that, I don't find him exciting. And I'm just about done with Randy's "dawg, dawg, dawg". He's trying to be "Simon", and it's not working for him. He doesn't have "IT". He needs to give it up, because he's looking foolish and stupid trying to imitate him. BRING ON SOME NEW JUDGES! |

Well said, I agree 100%. 
I enjoy some conutry music as well, I just don't want to see a repeat of last year. I was so upset when Scotty won over Lauren (and Haley and James).
We need Simon back! |
